Urban Eden Project Database Overview

The Urban Eden Project is developing, hosting and will be providing access to 3 PostgreSQL™ databases that will contain essential information that is intended to assist people interested in uplifting a more Utopian like existance by re-growing a part of the Garden of Eden on their "little slice of heaven":

Idealy, when finished, the databases will be freely accessable by everyone via annonoymous PostgreSQL accounts. They are being designed so that single elements or the entire database can be imported into webpages or documents with simple cgi scripts or hyper links. This will provide the whole world with a very useful and free tool that is hoped to help the people of Earth for generations to come.

As these databases will serve as the "backend" to the relevent pages at the Urban Eden Project, the Perl based .cgi's being developed to render the database information on this site will also be made freely available under one of the various Open Source licences.

At this time these databases and the "front-end" pages for them are just starting to be developed and are, in fact, very incomplete. So do check back over the next few years and you will see how they have grown.
